First, people are looking for food additives/supplements that enhance the nutritional value of the product their consuming. Second, tangy flavors are having a moment, and pineapple offers the perfect combination of sweetness and tanginess. Finally, all across the globe we’re seeing a rising interest in pineapple flavored products, and powder has a longer shelf life and is easier to transport than fresh pineapple or pineapple juice.
The report notes that while conventional pineapple powder will dominate the market due to lower cost and easier availability, organic pineapple powder is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.8% through 2027 due to the ongoing shift towards non-GMO food and food products that are free of harmful pesticides.
So, if you hadn’t heard of pineapple powder before, it’s likely that you’ll hear about it more over the next decade.
