El Principio - Pietrasanta Coconut Farm
- 30 Hectare
OVERVIEW
Farmfolio’s inaugural project, Pietrasanta features 230 hectares of Malayan Dwarf Coconut palm trees, a unique, disease-resistant hybrid variety that thrives in Colombia’s coastal lowlands. Originally one of three ranches that used to make up the region’s iconic farm “La Antioqueña,” Pietrasanta is a historic property with a rich agricultural tradition. With plentiful water resources, rich soil, and an ideal proximity to major ports, the Pietrasanta property is an ideal location for farmland ownership in Colombia.
FARM SUBDIVISION
LOTs, or Land Ownership Titles, represent a subdivided portion of a larger farmland property. This initial series of LOTs will focus on El Principio, the first 30 hectares of planted area at Pietrasanta. Each LOT represents a 1-hectare portion of the farm, with 3.5 year-old coconut trees within a year of full maturity. This unique, pre-developed land sale structure features integrated solutions for management and commercialization.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND IRRIGATION
Pietrasanta features over 600,000 cubic meters of reservoirs and wells, 7 kilometers of three line power, 48 kilometers of underground pipe networks, and an office building with high-speed internet. These systems are intended to increase growth rates, mitigate drought risk, and add value to the property.
